if u asked me what i've always wanted to be since i was i kid
the answer would definitely be "surgeon" (who cares whether that's still true now or not)

if u asked me the profession i've always respected the most
the answer would also be very firm
it's definitely firemen

i've always respected them
from the bottom of my heart
could be because when i was stuck in a lift when i was around 6 or 7
they were the ones who shone a light on me and helped me out
could be because of their muscular, amazing bodies (:p)
could be because to me, they were the ones who are really selfless at work
could be because they can do things i fear the most (cant light a bonfire properly even after going through Duke of Edinburgh Awards training)
could be because i genuinely have a thing against police, and somehow firemen become the "guardians" to this city when i have no hope in policemen

i hate these stories
it's always the best of the lot, the selfless ones who sacrifice
maybe it IS because of their selflessness that they always sacrifice
but it is these stories that reassured me
that there are still respectable and great men in HK like those two
may god look after you two and your families
